What the downside of shorting SQQQ and holding it?

Apart from it going parabolic when the market tanks.

I see that the yearly CTB is only 0.8%. If the stock decays as time goes it should benefit the short seller in the long term right?

Tried googling for answers but most results are about the risk in holding a long position due to decay, not short position.
