Why do stocks go up one day and then down the next?

I'm wondering what the point is of stocks going up today and then going back down tomorrow?

I mean can't people make up their minds?

It's like ok today I'm gonna buy 10 shares of MSFT and then tomorrow I'm gonna sell them.

Whats the point?
