“Have an exit strategy, stocks don't go up forever!”
I heard this yesterday on a video yesterday. How does one know when to sell a share that you're making a profit on?
For example, yesterday I made some purchases pre earnings report that I felt would come out on top and they most definitely did. Now what? Do I sell and pocket the profit and invest on VTI/SPY? Do I let it sit there and hope it grows? What do I do with my Amazon earnings from yesterday?
TLDR: Bought shares, made unrealized profit, now what?
