Obviously I don't have anywhere near $1 million or I'd be calling it quits most likely or at least only have 50% invested right now!
Anyways, I got to thinking about what I'd do if that were my case tonight!
Let's say I have $1 million portfolio and am now down to $800k.
The future is predetermined and this portfolio IS GOING down to $200k over the next 5 years and then will return to $1 million by the 10th year!
This assumes no contributions, it's just a thought study!
So could you or would you sit and ride it down to $200k (that's where it will start turning around after 5 years but you don't know that at this time!)?
Knowing myself, I'd most likely be mostly out after the 20% drop to $800k or at MOST $700K!
So could you sit and ride from $1 million down to $200k over 5 years, not knowing that you'd ever recoup your $1 million or HOW LONG it would take?
