I posted this to the r/swingtrading, because I'm and idiot who tries to surf the waves rather than listening to Uncle Warren B. and hodling. But I'd like to post it here as well because I think the longer term potential outweighs the more precise timing of a swing.
I think that this company is worth a couple of percent of the portfolio as a strategic investment for several reasons. I believe that once their is a bit of a real world track record for the VX4, we will see rapid adoption of these as emergency medical transport, and as replacement for police helicopters. Local governments in urban and suburban areas nationwide deal with regular complaints by their constituents about low flying police chopper noise, especially at night. Once proven reliable in real world settings, the potential uses will spring up faster than mushrooms after a rainstorm.
I've been looking at this company for a bit, and took a small position yesterday, after I read that American Airlines just ordered 50 of them with potential follow up orders of 300 more.
I went to their site and took a look at the model in question:

Now, tell me that plane isn't cool, and that platinum or diamond flyers won't avail themselves the opportunity to skip the crush near baggage claim and airport traffic to get a ride home. I think products like these cannot help but capture the public imagination.
Looking at these kinds of electric vehicles from whatever company 10 years from now, I can envision pads being leased in commercial parking lots or the like where density prevents landing directly at the destination. But shuttling executives to rooftop helipads? No problem.
They may not be exactly what was promised in The Jetsons yet, but they're getting closer. By the time density becomes a problem, AI issues such as Tesla is experiencing will have long before been worked out.
So do what you want with this NFA, coz if I knew anything, I'd be on tv instead of Cramer.
