I don't know much about trading, but a couple years ago I inherited money from my father who had passed away. I knew it should be invested but wasn't sure what. In my brokerage account at Fidelity, I invested heavily in bond funds because I saw them as rather lower risk. However, they have continually been losing money ever since I've invested. Do bond funds eventually recover? Do I need to be patient and wait or did I make a terrible mistake? There are 4 different funds I've invested in. Total loss since I've invested for the different funds are: -7.43%, -2.51%, -7.13%, and -5.90%. The very last one is the most concerning to me because I had invested around 30k in this fund; but then again, they're all concerning to me.
