will an order go through via market if I don’t have enough money ?

I put an order for 54 shares of vti . Comes out to like 10,950 or something . I have 11,000 in that account .

If the market price exceeds what I have (11,000) will the order just not go thru untill the share price drops down or will it put it on margin or something ?
