Why would you get a call option instead of just buying the stock?

I think I’m just not understanding this right, but with a call option you are able to buy a stock at a certain amount at any time within a certain amount of time, but if you think a stock is gonna increase in value, then why not just buy a stock when it’s cheaper and sell it when it increases in value?
