Technical vs. fundamental analysis?
Hey guys – I’m a former Wall St. (equity research analyst) with 10 years of experience. I've been active around Reddit to help individual investors with stock investing (I've switched to education!).
One thing I noticed with individual investors is mixing up trading vs. investing – I personally did that as well and it led to mistakes (selling too soon, buying shrinking companies, etc.).
I wrote about it more detail here.
Eventually I stopped with technical analysis (support / resistance, chart patterns, etc.), and focused on fundamentals (earnings outlook, expectations, etc.) to recommend stock ideas.
Thoughts? Love to answer any questions as well.
