Why is everybody so surprised with Powell’s “expected” remarks from today’s meeting?

I genuinely don't understand what the market or analysts expected? Inflation is not going to drop to 2% in 3 months. It may take years to get back to the normal levels unless the Feds migically accomplish “Soft” landing
