I just have to say it, so many people here just spit the same recommendations out of “just buy VOO and wait” or only buying extremely safe companies that make a lot of money.
This is r/stocks, not r/VOO. Why do people get shit on when they try and invest in anything other than extremely safe but low yield? Risk is necessary in any portfolio and r/stocks should be a great place to have legitimate discussions about some riskier growth stocks, not just “buy VOO bro”
And I’m not saying VOO bad, but it’s not the only way to invest. Warren buffet doesn’t believe in just plunking money into an ETF, and he’s a prime example of what someone can do with their capital if it’s well allocated to the right stocks, but that’s where the discussion on this forum should be most beneficial; to talk about INDIVIDUAL stocks.
