Why do stocks spike the day the Fed announces a rate hike, but tank the next day?

Something that has happened the last few rate hikes, and I’m curious to see if it happens tomorrow, is we will see a large gain in stocks immediately after the rate hike decision, followed up immediately the next day by stocks going down a considerable sum.

I have been curious as to why this happens the same way each rate hike?
