Why do stocks never have sales like stores do?

They call it the “grand market” as if it is so exemplary, yet the stock market never has sales like any given stores do. If you look at any of the top stores in the world, Dollar Tree, Menard, Wendy;s etc. they have regular sales to entice and satisfy customers. Why is the grand market in refuse to do this? Is it pure greed? Sorry if a dumb question, i'm new to day trading
