Why do some stocks fall further than others?

Lets look at paypal. Increasing revenue, earnings, increasing retained earnings, and free cash flow.

Yet its stock plummeted from 280 to 90.

Why is this? I thought that a stocks performance depends on its earnings. If a stock reports high earnings yoy its stock price increases and vice versa.

Do we really know why this happens? I just looked at it briefly on yahoo finance, but im pretty sure its balance sheet would look pretty strong. It has solid fundamentals. For example great earnings and increasing fcf.

Would it go back up again?
