So after the markets and especially Nasdaq has nosedived over the past few months, it's made me wonder what kind of acquisitions we might see as an effect of market caps of pretty high quality businesses drop so hard.
One good example is Microsoft (MSFT) buying Activision Blizzard (ATVI) for $69 billion – while it is a massive amount of money I consider it to be a pretty good deal all things considered… And it wouldn't have been possible had the stock been trading at peak (in this case specifically the crash in stock price was more related to internal issues of course, rather than macro)
Could you see something like Shopify (SHOP) being acquired? Or maybe something like Embracer Group (EMBRAC B)? Netflix (NFLX) even?
Who's up for the taking in 2022? What would be a good deal at current levels? What would make sense and be a good fit? What would be realistic to happen?
