I currently use Etoro, if I open a position with zero leverage on NSDQ100 with £1000, there are overnight fees of £0.24 and weekend fees of £0.72. If I increase the value the holding fees increase also.
There are 52 weekends in the year so £0.72 x 52 = -£37.44
There are 260 week days in the year so £0.24 x 260 = -£62.40
-£37.44 + -£62.40 = -£99.84
Average return of the Nasdaq is about 10%.
Costs = -£100
Return = £100.
No better off.
Am I missing something please?
