New to investing. I've been missing a lot of gain opportunities. For example, Ford was significantly in the green for me last week and now it's in the red. Some say time in the market is better than timing the market. But I'm not really sure I agree with it. It appears that more gains will be made by regularly selling for small gains and buying back in later.
I don't really see the evidence that buying and holding is the best strategy. Can some of you veterans offer tips on when you believe generally the best time to sell is and how you identify it?
