Hi all!
I did dabble in stocks and ETFs for 2 or 3 years now, but invested only 50$ here 100$ there, some months nothing at all. Basically my brokerage account has only some small change in it.
In context i am about to solve all debt and I plan to start saving quite aggressively. The basics everyone seems to recommend is broad ETFs like sp500, vti, etc. Say I have 10k saved ready to go and I can save in a year another 10k. It doesn't seems like I would like to invest simply because I can double the savings in a year just by doing nothing with no extra risk and the bonus of liquidity.
Every one seems to recommend to keep a 10-20% as cash. For someone with a portofolio worth a few hundred Ks that seems like a good idea, but what about someone that just starts building it up?
