What Would It Take For S&P To Get Back To January 2022 High

This is approximately what it would take for the S&P to get back to the January 2022 high from now:

  • 5 percent compounding rate: 5 years to 4,800
  • 7.5 percent compounding rate: 4 years
  • 10 percent compounding rate: 3 years

Over the past 30 years, the S&P 500 index has delivered a compound average annual growth rate of 10.7% per year.

This does not say anything about valuations, growth, earnings per share. I am posting this as information for those that keep asking when their stock portfolio price might return to January's price in $ levels. Hope it helps.
