What the bond market is telling us ?

Hello everybody, my understanding about bond yields is pretty basic so please feel free to correct if I am saying anything wrong.
The federal reserve has started quantitative tightening , selling about 95 billions in bonds and mortgage-back securities every month.
After one month, especially yesterday the 10 year yield has decreased from the peak 3.50 to 3.0.
Why yields are not going higher , is it a sign people are buying bonds so the yields would go down ?
Why is it a sign for recession ?
