By niche stocks I mean stocks of companies that are in a very specific industry or a very specific business segment that you don't see every day. These don't tend to be mega caps.
Examples:
Service Corporation (SCI): Operates funeral homes and cemeteries.
Sun Communities (SUI): Owns and operates mobile home parks and RV parks.
Getty Realty (GTY): Owns and operates gas stations and convenience stores, car washes within those gas stations.
Madison Square Garden (MSGE): They own an operate an iconic venue in NYC.
Lamar Advertising (LAMR): They own and rent out billboards for advertisment.
Farmland Partners (FPI): Owns a bunch of farms.
BrasilAgro (LND): “Fixes up” underperforming farms and sells them at a higher price.
Postal Realty Trust (PSTL): They just own a bunch of post office buildings across the country.
There are probably many more but these are the ones I can think of. Any of your favorite ones?
Disclaimer: I own small positions in these stocks and not making any recommendations of any kind. Just curious as to what niche companies people like in general.
