I invested $200 in a coin. My investment is worth $340 right now.
I want to know if there is a term for cashing it all out now and reinvesting in the same coin? Is this called ‘reinvesting capital gains’?
EDIT: i want to do this
is this a viable strategy? I started with $200, I now have $340. I want to now invest $340 so that when my investment does well the multiplier is on the $340 instead of $200.
For example, if a coin doubles in value then I’m making only $400 ($200 x 2). But if it doubles when I invested $340 initially then my investment is worth $680.
Am i thinking of this correctly? Should I just keep my 200$ in the same coin?
EDIT2: thanks so much for the replies. I need to research to better understand how this works.
