What is the Simplest Way to be Market Neutral but Long on a Specific Stock?

I want to be long 1 or 2 stocks, but only with respect to the rest of the market. I expect to buy and hold for 5+ years. What's the best way to do this?

Buy the stock and short QQQ in the same amount?
