What is the most direct way for retail investors to trade interest rate movements? How about inflation data?

My guess for the most direct way to trade interest rate movements would be long term treasury bonds (or bond futures or bond etfs like TLT) or currency pairs. Is that correct?

How about trading inflation data? Not too sure about this one, maybe going short a specific sector?
