What is a Fair Value for the S&P500 Using Forward EPS?

Hi guys,

What do you think is a fair value for the S&P500?

I have been looking at forward pe ratios and see after the 2018 correction, we were at a forward pe of about 14

I see we are at 17.5 using Yardeni research, but I am a bit lost on how to calculate this

Is forward PE using the projected 2022 or the 2023 projections?

The balance sheet reduction is much more impactful than 2018s, higher rate hikes, a slowing economy, and high inflation

So the environment is even tougher.

A forward pe of 15-17 may still not be too cheap, but could be a good place to start putting at least some cash to work
