What happens if I buy a stock when the market is closed ?

Hey guys

I am new to the game and interested in buying a stock but noticed that the market is closed. How does this work ? I can see I can still buy the stock at the prices it states but do i guarantee to get that price or will it give me the price of what it is one the market opens?
