Website to look at historical data for stocks and index funds

Hi,

Is there a website (preferably free) that I can use to look at the historical of certain stocks and index funds. For example if I wanted to look at the performance of the S&P 500 in June 1997.

I’ve tried to look but I haven’t seen one which gives me specific days or months spanning over a long time
