Anyone have insight in how a wash sale rule would apply to selling a put?
I have 100 shares of Amd and I’m down about 25%. I want to harvest the tax loss this year, but don’t want to lose exposure entirely to this stock. If I sell these shares, then sell a put that expires in a month, does this trigger a wash sale?
