Was told that a company was going public this year but not an exact date.

I don’t know anything about stocks, however I want to have a genuine conversation with someone in this community that I can learn from.

I guess what I was really curious about was how I can be notified that the company goes public without constantly asking my friend? Is their some kind of ticker or alert I can set that notifies me somehow when they go public? I have an account with fidelity if that helps.
