Do we all agree that if the Volkswagen Group owns 75% of Porsche AG shares, and if Porsche AG's total market cap is $100 billion, then Volkswagen's stake in Porsche AG is valued at $75 billion? This is $7 billion more than their own market cap.
Does this mean that the valuation of Skoda, Audi, Volkswagen cars, and the rest is technically -$7 billion?
I'm not saying that this makes the company a good investment, but am I missing something in the basic math here?
