VFC is the parent company of some of the most well-known clothing brands, including Dickies, Vans, Supreme, and Jansport. Given these brands’ sustained popularity, we would think it would be a safe performing stock, but the price has been getting smashed since even before this bear market.
According to Gurufocus, its fair value is 89, but the stock is currently trading at 47 (around its COVID crash lows from 2020) with a forward P/E of 15.
Is the apparel industry just that Nike-dominated, or am I missing something else here?
