Using spreadsheet from investing & trading perspective

Gathering some info on how people use spreadsheet. I suppose investors and traders probably use spreadsheet like Excel a lot. So the questions are:

1. Which common tasks you perform are cumbersome to do with spreadsheet software's UI?
2. What tasks do you want to perform but not possible with spreadsheet software?
