U.S. GDP grew at a 4.9% annual pace in the third quarter, better than expected

I'm a simple person and investor. I just don't understand how the Fed can keep hammering away using stone age techniques to justify high rates in a millisecond digital age. We have been hearing that things will start to slow for how many quarters now while Wall Street benefits and the little guy's savings keep falling behind.
