i’m a complete beginner, so forgive me if these are stupid questions. for context: i’m 24, since i started earning my own money at 18 i’ve been really bad at it, but since i moved out last year i’ve slowly started improving by learning more about personal finance etc. now i have some savings and am more financially stable, i’d like to look at investing in more detail.
i’ve read a bit about investing etc, but there are core aspects i don’t really understand. from what i’ve seen, say you invest 10k and then regularly invest small sums, in 5-10 years most people make about £300, which doesn’t seem like much at all. am i missing something, or is this just with really low risk investing?
