Found a large folder of paper stocks for the companies listed below in stuff from my dad. Most of the stocks are dated for over 100 years old at this point.
Cox Multi – Mailer Company (1911)
Midway gardens Company (1915)
Mizpah divide Minnning Company (1919)
Springer Consolidated Mining Company (1916)
Realty Realization Company (1911)
U. S. Airlines, Inc. (1954)
Yerington Mountain Copper Company (1917)
US Airlines is the only one that I could find that has merged into a still operating company(American Airlines). How would I go about attempting to turn this into American Airlines stock? Also, the stock is named to my great grandpa who is deceased, how does ownership change work?
On WV secretary of state website I at least found that Midway Gardens Company, but not a whole lot of informaiton that I thought was helpful to the current status of the company.
For Springer Consolidated Mining Company on Bizapedia it says “The company's filing status is listed as Forfeited – Ftb and its File Number is 83055,” so I would assume nothing can bedone with these shares.
I found thaatYeringotn Mountain Copper Company might also DBA Black Mountain Copper Company Mine. And found some certificates for sales on ebay.
Any other advise would be appreciated on how to research these, the process of changing ownership, and turning into a modern companies stock.
