Curious about thoughts on pros/cons of this and related Fidelity funds (e.g. FZILX and FXNAX).
By way of background, I have my 401k at Fidelity and am already maxing contributions. I've also invested in growth stocks on the past and done pretty well. But now I'm looking to invest in something a little more reliable and consistently DCA.
My friend recommended these funds because I'm already at Fidelity and the fees are nominal, as I understand it. However, I also understand the downside risk is that if I ever decide to leave Fidelity I'd have to cash all this out and take the tax hit. Would that not be the case if I invested in say, SPY, and then decided to change brokerages?
Anything else I should be aware of, or any other advice or thoughts? Thanks in advance!
