Hi! I am an ex-prop shop equity trader.
This is a daily watchlist for trading: I might trade all/none of the stocks listed, and even stocks not listed! I only hold MAG7/market indices long-term. If you use Old Reddit, click “Show Images” at the top to expand the charts. Any positions stated aren’t recommendations, I’m following subreddit rules to disclose positions.
Some stocks I post may be <$500M market cap. These are potentially good candidates to day trade; I have no opinion on them as investments. PLEASE ask specific questions. Questions like “Thoughts on _____?” or “Is ___ a good investment?” will be ignored or I’ll troll you unless you add detail and your own opinion. I will block you if you are a troll.
News: Target Swings to Sales Growth as Price Cuts Lure Shoppers
Also reading unconfirmed rumors that Iran may be launching missiles on Aug 22nd as part of missile drill.
- TGT – Reported EPS of $2.57 vs $2.18, revenue of $25.45B vs $25.19B expected. TGT also lifted profit guidance, and cited the price cut on 5K different products got consumers in the store. However, it expects comparable sales for FY to be as expected or up to 2% higher.
- ASTS – News yesterday that the FCC permitted GSAT to operate 17 new cellphone-to-cellphone satellites that could compete with AST, and extended GSAT’s license through 2039. RKLB down on that news as well. Overall I’m going to be hands-off until something interesting happens or the satellite launch.
- LUNR – Watching the $6 level today. CEO stated “key award discussions in the coming week” which is heavily implied to be, but not confirmed, the NSNS contract worth nearly $540M. PLEASE remember this when trading this.
- TEM – Had a huge spike yesterday off no news (that I could find), worth studying that chart and keeping alerts in case more price movement happens.
- M – Beat quarterly earnings but cut sales forecast, EPS of .53 vs .30 expected. Revenue of 4.94B vs 5.12B expected. Macy’s brand itself is company’s weakest performer.
