The shift of logic on this sub

Based on the number of posts, comments and their upvotes, yesterday vs. today comparison:

Yesterday: “The best time to invest was yesterday. The second best is today.”
Today: “You bought at ATH, didn't you? lol”

Yesterday: “Don't time the market”
Today: “It's going to keep going down. I sold my shares. I'm going 30%, 50%, all cash. Give it another 3 months”

Yesterday: “Buy Google, Microsoft, Apple or just SPY and chill”
Today: “OMG! SP500 is down 20%, what should I do? I'm down 30% on Amazon, should I sell?”

Some investors have remained consistent through this. Good for them. But if you recognize yourself here, you may have underestimated the risks and/or overestimated your tolerance to risk and/or didn't quite understand what you were getting yourself into by investing in stocks.

I get no pleasure from seeing someone lose money (except maybe for Amber Heard and certainly every single politician under the Sun), but you were obviously wrong if you thought that stocks could grow to infinity and only go down by so much. So you might want to re-assess and think hard about what you're actually doing instead of trying to react quick. And don't even think for a second “how can I recover quickly?”. That's not going to help. Good luck to everyone.
