The end of pandemics have ushered in some of the biggest economic growth in the history of mankind. The Roaring Twenties followed the Spanish flu and the Renaissance followed the Black Death. Has all the boomer handwringing over inflation fears due to stimulus checks and the resulting Fed interest rate hikes (combined with the ill-timed Russian invasion) prevented a once in a millennium economic opportunity and given us recession instead? History says yes.
