Hey guys
So I just finished watching an Elon interview by
' tesla owners silicon valley '
It's on YouTube right now if you look it up.
At around the 23 min mark or up I think, Elon talks about how in the early days , they were selling the car at a massive loss
Something that couldn't be fixed with mass production
And than around the 27 min mark he mentions that Rivian is having this exact problem right now
I don't know if he's got inside information or not but I thought that was interesting he would mention that.
The thing is he didn't mention if this problem can be fixed with mass production.
But i think it was implied.
At least with tesla they had software they could sell to increase the margins on the cars a couple years back.
But rivian has no software to sell and if they can't hit profitability with mass production
Will this company ever be profitable?
They currently have around 20 billion in cash
So that gives them maybe 4 years to figure it out I think
