Hey I am a bit confused on how capital gains/losses affect each other. If my account had 4000 put into it and I lost most of it and got it all back, do those trades offset each other? As in I have made $0 total, but $4000 after losing $4000.
Also, does each trade require reporting? If I trade multiple times a day and some lose and some gain, does it only matter about total gains and losses? Thanks.
