If my stock splits into two seperate company’s does my cost basis change for the new company newly public traded shares. I’m asking mostly regarding tax purposes and jnj. Also I keep getting taken down for rule three and it’s really annoying but anyways I hope I don’t annoy y’all.
Do y’all think holding jnj until 2023 would be good to take advantage of this tax idea if it does change your cost basis. Also to be clear my cost basis is very low. Below 20$ a share.
