Still having stocks after a merger

Hi All,

A bit of a noobish question, but can I do anything with shares from a company that merged with another to form a new entity?

I've been working hard on my PhD thesis the last year, and thus I've negated following a lot of my investments.

One of them concerned koninklijke dsm that merged with Firmenich in may.

I still own 30 koninklijke dsm shares, that obviously cannot be sold?

Do any of you know if there is any way to sell these or convert them into DSM-Firmenich shares?
