SPY and VIXY correlation broken? What’s up with this?

So normally the VIXY does the exact opposite of SPY. Yet today, it's not. Why is this? Any insight is appreciated. I watch this for well over a year and I finally pull the trigger on something and now VIXY isn't going up as SPY falls. Very frustrating.
