Specific Question on Wash Sale

Been reading up on wash sales and i understand you can't sell a stock then rebuy for 30 days. What confuses me is the 30 days “before” part of the rule.

Scenario 1.

• I buy 100 shares of abc stock Jan 1
• I sell 50 shares of abc stock Jan 15 for a loss
• No action taken after the sale for 31+ days
• No wash sale, correct?

Scenario 2.

• I buy 30 shares of abc stock Dec 1 at $100 a share
• I buy 30 shares of abc stock Jan 15 at $75 a share
• I buy 30 shares of abc stock Jan 20 at $50 a share
• I sell 60 shares of abc stock Jan 30 at $50 a share (Selling Dec 1 and Jan 15 shares)
• No action taken after the sale for 31+ days
• No wash sale, correct?
