Perhaps a dumb question, but google is showing that the S&P 500 is up 2.13% whereas the HXS ETF which tracks the S&P 500 is only up 0.24%. It is a CAD$ security that is not hedged, in my CAD brokerage account. I see the US dollar fell today relative to the Canadian dollar, but the drop was only 0.7%. When I do the math, the gain should be closer to 1.4%. Vanguard's VFV is up 1.29%. Struggling to understand why there is a big difference between that and HXS.
