Between Lake Mead and Lake Powell, both of these reservoirs (in my opinion) and a lot of what I have read will most like dry up or be dead pools in the next couple of years. Fed Gov is currently stepping in with states fighting.
These obviously supply a ton of water for crops and the people living Arizona, California, Colorado and Nevada (and Mexico).
I believe they will dry up in the next 2-3 years even with all the recent rain/snowpack and that there will be a major crisis with water cuts.
Let’s assume this happens, this could have a huge impact on markets and the region. What would be some companies to invest now in anticipation for this?
I am currently looking at water companies and just trying to learn what companies/industries will have to step in?
Does anyone have any more thoughts on what investments would be viable assuming there is a water crisis?
