I want to buy a house next year. While I’m saving some cash, I planned for the bulk of it to come from my company stocks. I get stock awarded to me and some just vested in December and February. Unfortunately, we were up significantly in 2020, we’ve corrected hard and the stock fell about $25/share, and has been going down with the market.
I plan to use stocks that will vest next December and February. I can’t do anything about that until then, but should I sell what just vested now at the risk of them going back up? Even a $5-10 recovery would make a big difference. Or should I eat what value I’ve lost and not risk further loss?
