should I go for short term investment or stick to long term investment

As a 27M, I been more a long term investor for a decade now holding alot of dividend stocks like RBC and AT&T and some long term growth stocks like Disney and Apple. But I was thinking of trying to go a bit aggressive and with the recommendation and pressure from my mom to invest into Nvidia and Super Micro Computer for short term investment and believing that it will hit to $1000 per share.

My question is, should I invest into aggressive growth stocks like Nvidia and try to only hold it for a few months before selling high or should I still stick to long term investing to keep it consistent and not give me any headache?

For context, I still technically a beginner who despite learning investing since the age of 6 from my parents still couldn't master the nuance of the stock market and still have tons of burn-out and disinterest over 2 decades of learning.
