should I dedicate all my investment accounts towards a TDF or dedicate one to a TDF and the other to funds?

I see people on here recommending that if you select a TDF, you should dedicate the entirety of your contribution to that TDF/stick with TDFs only… but I'm not sure if this means all the money you'd contribute to one account or all the money you'd contribute to all your investment accounts if you have more than one. (I'm new to investing.)

I'm planning on opening a Roth IRA and then contributing to an individual brokerage account after maxing the Roth IRA out and I'm looking into investing in a TDF. Should I be dedicating, say, the Roth IRA to the TDF and the brokerage account to making a unique portfolio of stocks and bonds or dedicating all accounts to the TDF?

Hope this makes sense.
